The annual Tri-Cities International Film Festival (TRIFI) will kick off its 3rd Annual 72 Hour Film Challenge on Thursday, October 12th at 6 PM. Teams of filmmakers in Student or Open categories will be given a prop, a line of dialogue and instructions, and must create, shoot, edit and submit a finished film within 72 hours. This short production period puts the focus on quick decisions and decisive shooting. It sometimes forces filmmakers to “just shoot it”, often with surprising results. Finished films must be turned in at 6 PM on Sunday, October 15th. There is no entry fee.
Prizes will be awarded for the Winners and Runners-up in each of the Open and Student categories and films will be shown during the Annual TRIFI Film Festival, October 20 – 22 in Richland, WA. Mark your calendar and assemble your filmmaking team. The 72 Hour Film Challenge is coming.
